- Social media is a blessing and a curse to our generation, it can spread information, and help us have a broader perspective, but define our identity even if we don’t want it to. I think that it encompasses all the ideas in my essay well and that it introduces my ideas well. I think it could be more specific about what platforms I am talking about. There are different types of social media platforms so I think it would help the reader.
- I learned that I may need to tweak my writing process. Although the steps are mostly working I think that I need to leave myself more time to develop and organize my ideas. I think I was a little rushed and so it was harder for me to put my ideas together and so my paper wasn’t as strong as it could be. I could improve my writing process by creating a better way to organize my ideas so that I could have an easier time putting them down on paper.
- I focused most on explaining my quotes and putting my own thoughts into the writing. I think I tend to summarize a lot so I focused on putting my voice in more so that my claim comes through more and is stronger. I focused more on framing my quotes. I tried to make sure all my quotes had an explanation so that it would make sense to the reader. I think both these revisions made my essay stronger by allowing my voice to come through more, make my claims stronger, and helping my quotes reinforce my ideas.
- I think I need to do more preparation and not procrastinate so much before writing the first draft. I think I need to plan out the essays with my ideas like I do with my smaller papers earlier in advance so I can give myself more time to write a better draft. I think if I write a better draft I will have less work to do for the final draft and I will have a better paper. Overall I think I have a good writing process. I just need to prepare the paper in advance and be more careful when reading it for errors because I did see a lot of little errors that could be easily avoided. I could possibly improve my annotation to make getting the idea of the writing across better.
