My first ISTE standard is about technology integration. I found two articles about technology integration. The first article was about how technology can help with English language learning. The findings were that with the use of the technology the learners were able to improve scores in English tests, do collaborative learning and the use of technology encourages independent learning. The article mentioned some challenges too. Some of the challenges that were mentioned included the rapid changes that happen with technology, the class sizes, and the availability of the ability to use the technology. Another challenge they pointed out was using the technology wisely. Because Gen-Z kids have grown up with technology they multitask while doing schoolwork, which is not helpful when students are learning material.

The second article was about the integration of technology within the schooling of American Indian students. It is able to be done but the integration needs to be done in a way that revitalizes the language and culture. A challenge that creates an obstacle is the issues with leadership and infrastructure that native American communities face. The use of technology can allow students to create mixed media art and movies that represent their cultures. Technology can also allow the students to learn their native languages, which keeps the culture alive.
